Reds six points clear at the top

Reds are going strong but this league is far from over. There should be some very important games after the split. The Blues and Crues will hopefully cancel each other out allowing the Reds to march onward to glory!

It seems Linfield have put their injury crisis behind them and found some of the consistency which deserted them early in the season,i they can keep the present run of results going then they could well retain their position as champions.

I'm a Linfield season ticket holder, but have to agree with both the previous posters. cliftonville have been absolutely outstanding this season. Best team by a country mile. Still think the blues will make a good fist of it, but congratulations to the reds, from what we have seen so far, you deserve it!! Here's hoping for a closer title race next year!!

An excellent performance from the Reds, albeit we got off to a slow start. Both teams played football which was good to see. Now a lot more comfortable and confident after this re-assuring victory, six points clear at the summit with a game in hand against lowly Donegal Celtic but it must be noted that this will be no easy game a stern test awaits and DC always provide stiff opposition especially when their big neighbours pay them a visit. But I am getting ahead of myself the ‘One game at a time’ mantra now takes effect and we take to the field on Saturday –v- Ballinamallard (quack quack) in the elusive Irish Cup, the Ballinamallard supports ranks sure to be swelled by the neighbouring Ducks from the local Waterworks. In Tommy we trust, Onwards and Upwards. On a side note a big season defining game for the Bloos awaits as they take to the field in IC action –v- Crusaders, could this be a potential trophy-less season for the Bloos, may we find David Jeffrey joining the Dole queue in Corporation Street, only time will tell.
