Allen took the opening frame of Wednesday's first found clash with a 114 break but the game soon turned scrappy, with the players calling for the cue ball to be replaced.

The score was tied going into the interval but the Ulsterman won the first frame back. Robertson took the next before the Antrim man pulled ahead again.

The next frames were shared and at 5-4 a win for Robertson set up a decider, which he won after surviving a huge kick on a blue to clear with 59 to the pink for victory.

It saw the Australian repeat last year's defeat of fellow left-hander Allen, who he also beat in 2012.
