Magee, the WBA World Super middleweight champion will take on Kessler in Denmark next weekend.
He has already beaten fellow Danes Mads Larsson and Rudy Markusson on their home turf and the 37-year-old said his reputation now precedes him.
"Everybody in Denmark knows who I am and what I'm about and how good a fighter I am, there's no need to trash talk," he told UTV.
"Everybody knows about Mikkel Kessler. His reputation speaks for itself.
"It's a matter of getting in there and getting the fight on."
But while Brian said the two fighters are good friends out of the ring, he added that this fight has brought a new dimension to their friendship.
"I'm the most hated man in Denmark at the minute. It's all part of the game when you go in the ring you go in to fight and that's it," he explained.
"Mikkel is a nice guy. We hate each other for that 50 minutes in the ring. Afterwards we will wish each other the best of luck."
It’s a massive fight. Before I would’ve been a fan of him, now I’m in the ring going to punch his lights out. It’s a big night for me and it’s amazing to be going in as world champion.

But Magee will go into the fight as the underdog and Peter Sloth, a Danish boxing journalist, said he will also have to win over the locals.
"This fight is going to be the main sport event of the year in Denmark. We are five million people and Mikkel Kessler is maybe the most popular sportsman in Denmark. It's going to be huge.
"He's managed to conquer not only the boxing fans of Denmark, but everybody. Children, old ladies, everybody knows who is Mikkel Kessler and what is his job. People like him because he's the likeable guy," explained Sloth.
"He will be very hated in Demark if he cheats in the ring and steals the victory from Mikkel Kessler but if it's a good clean fight then everybody will celebrate Brian Magee as a true champion.
"The biggest purpose of this fight is to get the war started. It has not started yet."
