There was heartbreak for Neil Lennon's Celtic after a late goal from Barcelona denied them a famous Champions League result at the Nou Camp.

The Hoops went in front with a headed goal from Georgios Samaras in the 18th minute, before Andres Iniesta equalised for Barca just before the break.

The Spanish side relentlessly attacked the Celtic goal in the second half but the visitors held off until the 94th minute, when defender Jordi Alba sneaked in at the back post with a winner.

Lurgan-born boss Lennon, who had called for a "heroic" performance from his players, looked devastated at the final whistle after his team came so close to getting a draw.

The players were applauded off by their supporters at the Nou Camp.

Ex Pat I seem to remember vividly the liquid footnall Rangers played on reaching the UEFA Cup Final in 2008. 7 goals scored in the knockout stages to reach a final -that's what I call a record!

Why no mention of anti football on this on this occasion ? 10 men behind the ball, world record possession stats of 90 /10 in favour of Barca. Just pleased the best team won on the night.

I think it must be mentioned that both sets of supporters were an example of how we at games should behave , it was clear that rival supporters were mixing freely without a hint of trouble .
