The Belfast golfer got off to a good start at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club hitting a round of five under on the opening day to finish just two off the lead.

However, two subsequent rounds of 73 saw him drop down the leaderboard and out of contention.

Four birdies and a bogey on Sunday helped the 35-year-old back up the table to finish the day on three under and 12 behind eventual winner Lee Westwood.

Westwood won by seven shots on 18 under to take home the £270,000 first prize.
