Glentoran remain top of the Concentrix Premier League even though they could only manage a scoreless draw with Crusaders during the week.

The result means Crusaders fell to third in the table after Linfield recorded a 3-2 win over Cliftonville.

Glens captain Nadene Caldwell said the result was "fair" after her side performed well in the first half but had a less favourable second half.

In an action packed game, Linfield broke the deadlock on the half hour through Kirsty McGuinness.

The Reds got the equaliser just seven minutes later when Louise Doherty played the ball in perfectly for Marissa Callaghan to level.

Just before half time the Blues beat a shaky Reds offside trap as Kirsty McGuinness crossed for Nicola McWilliams to make 2-1 to the Blues at the interval.

Cliftonville piled the pressure onto Linfield in the second half and Rachel Cromie got a deserved equaliser when her free kick beat keeper Nicole Adams.

But Kirsty McGuinness ensured the Blues took all three points, outwitting Reds keeper Tiarna Mckenna to fire home.

At the other end of the table, Shankill Predators got their first points of the season with a 2-0 away win at Dromore Amateur Ladies.

All the goals came in the second half. First, Shannon Grattan's effort beat Amy-Louise Graham in the home goal.

And with fifteen minutes on the clock the Predators Cody Burton got onto the end of a Billy Simpson free kick to make it 2-0 and leave Dromore seeking their first points of the season.

Ballymena All Stars played out a scoreless draw with Mid Ulster Ladies.

Sky Blues keeper Ciara McCoy kept the home side in the game with some excellent saves in the Mid Table clash.

The result means Ballymena are still searching for their first home win of the season.
