Jeffrey Szwez put in a man of the match performance recording a hat-trick against the Sheffield Steelers at the Odyssey Arena on Saturday.

Captain Adam Keefe was also in the scoring mood much to the delight of the 5,000 plus home crowd for the first of the weekend's double header against the Steelers.

In the day's other games, Coventry battered Edinburgh 8-2, with Adam Heinrich and Ryan Ginand scoring twice each.

Elsewhere, Cardiff beat Nottingham 2-1, Braehead won an all-Scottish affair with Dundee 5-3 and Hull saw off Fife 4-1.
