Donegal have booked their place in the Ulster final after a dominant second half display saw them earn a comfortable win over Antrim in Sunday's last four tie at Clones.

The sides were level at 0-7 apiece after a closely-contested first half, but Donegal turned on the style after the break and goals from Leo McLoone, Darrach O'Connor and Dermot Molloy saw them take victory by 3-16 to 0-12.

The game was billed as something of a David and Goliath affair, but Antrim held their own in a tense first half against last year's beaten provincial finalists.

Donegal found themselves three points ahead inside the first 15 minutes, but Antrim kept their cool and superb long-range scores from Paul McCann, Mark Sweeney and Kevin Niblock helped the sides draw level at 0-6 each with 10 minutes of the half remaining.

Further scores were exchanged by the sides before half-time, but the first plays in the second half proved critical as Donegal comprehensively outscored their opponents, landing 2-4 to a single Antrim point in the first 15 minutes after the break.

Christy Toye played in Leo McLoone for the game's opening goal and it wasn't long before Jim McGuinness' side grabbed another three-pointer - this time through Buncrana teenager Darach O'Connor.

The 18-year-old was afforded plenty of space to run at the Saffrons defence and after exchanging passes with Toye he dispatched a wonderful low drive from distance that left Antrim keeper Paddy Flood rooted to the spot.

Antrim looked shell-shocked and Donegal wasted several more goal chances before substitute Dermot Molloy completed the rout with a goal in injury time to seal a 13-point victory for his side and set up a date with either Monaghan or Armagh in next month's Ulster final.
