The Team NI competitor had been tipped for a medal, but was unable to register a height after failing with three attempts at 3.80metres.

Five other competitors also failed to register heights after being defeated by driving rain at the venue, which also caused the competition to be delayed by 45 minutes.

Australia's Alana Boyd cleared 4.50metres to take the gold medal.
