St Mary's took an early lead from the penalty spot, with Gary Donnelly scoring.

De La Salle though soon fought back as Nathan Watters headed home.

Liam McKenna's goal came direct from a corner as De La Salle went ahead.

On 55 minutes there was daylight between the teams as Chris McGuinness shot into the bottom corner to make 3 - 1.

Another Donnelly penalty gave us a nervy ending but De La Salle held on to take the St Patrick's Day glory.

Pity this game didn't get the exposure it deserved, every year other sports finals get superior coverage by the media whilst schools football is completely ignored.
