Cross, with captain Stephen Kernan back from suspension for the decider, found themselves behind right at the start, but an early Francis Hanratty goal settled the nerves of defending champions.
With the Armagh side holding a three point advantage, both sides traded scores until Hanratty again popped up with a vital three-pointer to extend his sides advantage.
Further scores from Oisin McConville and Aaron Cunninghasm helped Cross to a 2-8 to 0-4 half-time lead, as the opposition began to fade.
Garrycastle did manage a goal through Gary Dolan, but Cross never looked threatened, and out-scored their opponents by 11 points to two over the remainder of the contest to seal a 2-19 to 1-7 victory and claim the Andy Merrigan Cup for the sixth time.
