The People's Millions 2013
This competition, a long-running collaboration between UTV and the Big Lottery Fund since 2005, asks communities to develop projects that will capture the public's imagination, inspire local people to get involved and make a lasting difference to the lives of people in their area through improvements to their neighbourhood.
The People's Millions 2013 competition will take place for three days beginning on 25 November on UTV's evening Regional News, UTV Live, and will give six selected community groups opportunity to win the public vote on why they deserve a life changing Lottery award.
Each night two projects will make their bid for viewers' support to take home up to £50,000, with the public voting by phone to help decide who wins the prize.
There are three, £50,000 awards up for grabs - one award for each night, as well as a bonus award for the runner up with the most phone votes across the week.
This is the eighth year that the Big Lottery Fund and UTV have given the public the chance to help choose where the Lottery good cause cash goes in their region.
Voting numbers will be available on the day the projects are due to appear on our Regional News Programmes, with phone voting lines opening at 9am on each day and winners announced the following day.
