It happened on the Glendermott Road at around 6.50pm on Friday.

The woman was taking part in a white line demonstration when she was involved in a collision with a passing car.

She was taken to hospital for treatment on injuries which aren't thought to be serious.

There are no further details at the moment.

A statement from the PSNI said: "Police would like to take this opportunity to remind those participating in protests and those organising protests of the dangers of standing in the middle of busy roads during the hours of darkness".

Hope this woman is better soon.just a thought I wonder if it was the tricolour took down ya no things were on the other foot would it be accepted and people would move on and all this, not for one moment would I believe it.thats what people have to learn in this country how would I feel if it was my flag etc etc etc.for me the protests have highlighted the a lot of failings in the peace process for protestants not saying the catholics have none just saying there working at treat because our politicians don't give a monkeys
