Arrests in cross-border dissident probe

Three people, including two teenagers, have been arrested as part of a cross-border investigation into dissident republican activity.

A 19-year-old man and 18-year-old woman were detained in Forkhill, Co Armagh early on Wednesday morning.

They were taken to Antrim Serious Crime Suite for questioning and the arrests formed part of an operation in conjuction with An Garda Síochána.

Police carried out searches in the Forkhill area on Wednesday as part of the investigation.

In Kilcurry, just across the border in Dundalk, a 43-year-old man was also detained.
