The incident happened around 4.30pm in the Abetta Parade area when a man, thought to be around 30-years-old, made inappropriate remarks to the girls.

When the man was challenged by another adult, he fled the scene in the direction of the Connswater River.

The man was described as around 5'4" in height wearing a white t-shirt and black trousers.

Police can be contacted on the non-emergency number 101.
