Andrew Allen was shot dead by Republican Action Against Drugs (RAAD) in February, after he was ordered out of Derry by the vigilante group.

Now his brother Daniel has been told his life is under threat by the same group. He has been told to get out of Derry by 6pm on Wednesday, or he will be shot, but the father of three has already left the city.

"I could not go through it again," his mother Donna told UTV. "I want the threat lifted off Daniel. Just leave us alone."

"He is a broken man himself cause of his brother, and now he has to leave three young children," she added.

Michael Doherty, of the Peace and Reconciliation Group, said along with Rosemount Resource Centre they have helped around 80 people ordered to leave Derry.

"It's getting out of hand," he said.

"My understanding is that RAAD has teamed up with the Real IRA. They've got themselves into one group so that's a worry on its own."

SDLP Foyle MLA Pat Ramsey has called for the threat against Daniel Allen and one other man to be lifted.

"I call on the group who issued this threat to lift it immediately, they have no authority in this community to impose sentences on any of my constituents, nor anyone else.

"The actions of this group, despite intervention made by me and the Rosemount Resource Centre, is simply unacceptable and the disruption to these men's lives and their families' lives is unforgivable," he added.

"I am seeking to engage in further dialogue alongside local stakeholders to ensure that these two men have the threat against them lifted."

@ Paul in Derry. Very well said. @ Ryan. By your post you are implying that these people are not republican terrorists? Please elaborate.
Paul in Derry wrote (245 days ago):
An absolute disgrace. Once again the Derry Mafia terrorise their own community, the one that they profess to represent. It’s a pity some of you would rather criticise someone having a pop at the knuckle dragging scum-bags of RAAD than actually criticise the knuckle dragging scum-bags of RAAD yourselves. At least PJ focuses his disgust in the right place.

lets hear the priests condemning this republican threat of violence
Ryan in Belfast wrote (245 days ago):
@Pj in Ulster. Pj, you have more in common with these "republican terrorists", judging by your spelling and grammar. How Ironic...
Cunning Linguist in Co.Down wrote (246 days ago):
Maybe you are a 'republician' terrorist, PJ in Ulster, if your spelling is anything to go by.
