Police probe Bangor 'shooting' incident

Police are continuing to investigate an alleged shooting incident at the home of an off-duty police officer in Bangor, Co Down.

The incident happened in the Springhill area at around 8pm on Wednesday.
A police spokesperson said: "It is believed that a personal protection weapon was discharged."
The PSNI say no-one was injured in the incident. However, the officer did receive medical attention as a precaution.
Two men, 45 and 52, arrested on Wednesday night in connection with the incident have been released on bail pending further inquiries.
Police had a number of road closures in place on Thursday morning - but they have since re-opened.
