Local motor fans are in for a monster weekend as Truckfest rolls back into town.

Huge vehicles will roar into Balmoral Park on Saturday and Sunday with, as usual, the monster trucks the major pull for Ireland's motorheads.

Last year's event, the first at Balmoral Park, saw the best vintage and modern trucks from all over Ireland descend on the venue and this year, the Americans have arrived.

National pride is at stake as JR Adams' monster truck Bigfoot #10 has come across the Atlantic to go head to head with Nigel Morris' monster truck Bigfoot #17 in a special UK v USA race.

Watching it all unfold will be reality TV star Joey Essex from The Only Way in Essex and North Carolina TV stars Ron, Bob and Amy from outrageous show Lizard Lick Towing.

Stunt motorcycle team Broke FMX will also be wowing the crowds in an action packed couple of days.

There will be haulier showcases from The Henderson Group, The Malcolm Group and Maxwell Freight Services.

Truckfest made discount tickets available on their website, before 9pm on Friday evening. Early bird prices at £12 for adults, £5 for childe and £30 for a family ticket. On the door prices are £16 adult, £7 for under 16s and £39 for a family ticket.
