Machete used in Ballyclare robbery

A man armed with a machete type knife has robbed a takeaway in Ballyclare, Co Antrim.

He entered the premises on Main Street on Thursday at 11pm and stole a sum of cash.

The thief is described as being 6ft tall, of slim build and was wearing black clothes. He spoke with a local accent.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
