Police believe Scott Vineer suffered head injuries in a serious assault.

He was discovered at the disused World of Furniture showroom on the Laganbank Road at 10pm on Friday, after going missing the day before.

Officers have renewed their appeal for information as they continue to piece together the picture of how Scott, who is from Lisburn, came to be injured.

He was last seen at 3pm on Thursday close to Lisburn College.

The teenager is described as 6ft 3inches tall, of heavy build, clean shaven with short dark hair and was wearing a dark hooded jacket with a blue t-shirt underneath, dark trousers and a dark beanie hat with an emblem on the front.

Anyone who saw him in the past few days or has any information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the PSNI in Lisburn.

Lisburn is covered in cctv cameras, the police station is around 100 metres away, there is a nightclub right beside the place where the fella was found with cctv cameras. How can there not be any evidence or trace of who done this??????

A totally sick depraved act. This young victim was not even capable of defending himself. I am sure the whole ordeal he went through would be worse on this lad than it would be for most of us'God bless you son"
