Heavy showers can be expected across the region on Monday afternoon, the Met Office said.

Forecasters added: "Heavy, slow-moving and thundery showers will develop today across NI giving locally some very heavy downpours leading to some localised flooding."

Rainfall totals of more than 30mm could fall in some places by the end of the afternoon.

Eastern areas are said to be less likely to be affected than other parts, and the showers are expected to gradually fade away again by Monday evening.

The warning is valid from 12 noon to 10pm.
