Prime Minister David Cameron is among the 120 delegates from 14 countries around the world who are expected to fly into Northern Ireland on Friday for the summit.
It has been organised by Invest NI and will be hosted by First and deputy First Minister Peter Robinson and Martin McGuinness.
With tension high between the power-sharing DUP and Sinn Féin, concerns have been raised about the timing of the Northern Ireland Investment Conference.
However Alastair Hamilton of Invest NI said he hopes the event can capitalise on the positivity of the recent G8, which was held in Co Fermanagh earlier this year.
He said: "It's good timing from the point of view of the Prime Minister who said he wanted to leave an economic legacy on the back of G8, the wonderful scenes over the summer, and now we get the opportunity to develop that with this economic conference on Friday."
