Gardaí are preparing a report for the Justice Minister after it was reported in a Dublin newspaper that a member of the force sent a text message containing sensitive information to a paramilitary in Northern Ireland.

It is claimed the officer was working at a station in Leinster where two dissident suspects were being questioned.

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána confirmed they were investigating the matter and that a full report will be provided to the Justice Minister Frances Fitzgerald.

For the idiots on here accusing a minority of Garda Siochana of collusion, I suggest you look closer to home and realise the collusion, corruption etc. within the forces who were supposed to be protecting ALL members of the public residing in the North Of Ireland. Educate yourselves without wasting people's time in writing such pathetic comments.
