Nollaig O'Connor, from Enniskillen, hasn't been in touch with relatives since May.
The 37-year-old is described as a brilliant musician who was studying music at university in Aberdeen - but for some inexplicable reason she went to Cornwall.
Nollaig's father Bernard was the last person to see her when he visited Scotland over Easter.
He said the family had hoped she would make contact with them before Christmas but, when she didn't, they became increasingly concerned.
"We were constantly reminding ourselves of how she was," he told UTV.
Every phone call you get you're hoping someone has seen her or made contact, or discovered something
"We got constant texts from her but this time we didn't - but we honestly believed coming up to Christmas we would hear from her but, unfortunately, there were no calls.
"That was unusual because this was our first Christmas where we had no contact from Nollaig."
Police in Aberdeen had closed their missing person's case on Nollaig O'Connor but have since re-opened the case following pressure from the family. But, when a CCTV image of her emerged from Cornwall in England, the family were left with further questions.
Bernard O'Connor continued: "We were very concerned as she has no connections in Cornwall but we were led to believe she is okay."
The family say Nollaig is a free-spirited and lively woman but that she has a history of mental illness which makes her vulnerable.
Ever since she went missing they have been searching the internet and using social media for any signs of her whereabouts. They have appealed for her to get in touch.
"She's a beautiful, talented girl, very lively and vibrant," Bernard said.
"She has been through a serious time with mental health. The medical people themselves would say they're very concerned.
"We would appeal to Nollaig that she would contact some member of the family to let us know she is okay, we are just very distressed that we don't know where she is."
