A member of the public alerted police to £17,000 of herbal cannabis in Crossgar on Wednesday.
Officers attended the scene on the Listooder Road and recovered the drugs.
It comes after £10,000 of herbal cannabis was discovered in bins at the back of a house in the Meadowlands area of Downpatrick on 31 March.
No arrests were made in the operations but police said they are continuing to enquire.
Down Area Commander, Chief Inspector Deirdre Bones, said: "The potential harm to the public caused by drugs is something that we take very seriously and this is a substantial amount of suspected herbal cannabis that has now been taken off our streets.
"We know that the local community want us to tackle the issue of drugs and these recent seizures are further commitment of our determination to do so.
"I would like to thank the public for their continued support and would appeal to anyone who has any information in relation to illegal drugs, to contact local police on the new non-emergency number 101 or, alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
