Tributes have been paid to a man in his 20s from the Shankill area of Belfast, who has died in Bulgaria.

James Kelly, who was 25, had been on holiday with his partner at a resort on the Black Sea when he drowned on Wednesday.

He was father to a three-year-old daughter.

DUP Councillor Brian Kingston has been speaking to Mr Kelly's mother.

"Lily has travelled out along with others to make all the arrangements to bring James' body home," he explained.

"They have received support from the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust, and they very much appreciate that. Kevin, who people may recall, was a young man from Newry, who was tragically killed in a hit-and-run incident in America last year.

"His family set up this repatriation trust to help other families in similar circumstances."
