Owner Richard Dorrian says 28 cars were damaged at the business premises on Belfast Road in the early hours of Friday morning. It is believed three men were involved in the incident which was caught on CCTV and occurred shortly after midnight.Footage shows it took the vandals around 40 seconds, one throwing the acid on the cars and the others using what appears to be a brush to make the damage as extensive as possible as quickly as possible. The owner says he has no idea why he was targeted. The attack has left his business on its knees."I have been in Bangor selling cars for the last 26 years and never had any problems whatsoever. So it says it all," Mr Dorrian said."I'm just disgusted and disappointed and I don't understand the reasoning for it."Local DUP MLA Peter Weir said: "There can be no excuses for such senseless criminal damage which will only serve to threaten the company and its staff."As someone whose office is very close to the location I am only too aware of the valuable contribution that the firm is making to the local economy, and their positive contribution contrast sharply with the thugs who carried this out."Police want to talk to anyone who was in the area at around midnight and who may have noticed the three men or any other suspicious activity.
