The mobile auditions offer hopefuls the chance to try out in locations where the arena auditions does not reach and this year it will be visiting 34 smaller towns and cities across the UK.

Potential contenders for The X Factor crown are invited to Victoria Square Shopping Centre on Tuesday 25 March from 12pm-4.30pm and Wednesday 26 March from 10am-3pm. Auditions will be extended until 4.30pm on this day for those who are in full time education.

Those who impress the X Factor team with their vocals will be given a chance to sing in front of the judges at the arena auditions in the summer. Auditions are open to over 16s only.

The X Factor will be broadcast on UTV later this year.

Simon Cowell recently revealed he would return to the judging panel following a three year break, as has former Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole.

It has been rumoured Louis Walsh will once again take up his seat at the judges table, however nothing official has been announced.

It is not yet known who will fill the position of fourth judge.
