The X Factor boys could start finding things tough because a sneak peek at the show's bootcamp has revealed it's definitely the girls delivering the powerhouse vocals this weekend.

Among the contenders for a place at Judges' Houses are local hopefuls 17-year-old Jade Collins from Belfast and 18-year-old Melanie McCabe from Dublin.

And our little look behind the scenes catches Melanie at least delighted with how her performance goes down with the judges and the crowd.

"I'm over the moon!" the excited teenager declares.

And so she should be, after a storming performance of Aretha Franklin's R.E.S.P.E.C.T.

Competition is fierce though.

Remember Lucy and her self-penned song Last Night, about the pitfalls of partying?

She shot into the iTunes Top 10 download chart overnight after her last performance and now she back - and she's got another original offering, Tea and Toast, that goes down a treat.

But then there's Ella, who also first impressed with a moving song she'd written herself in memory of her grandfather.

This time, she opts for a cover version, but it's no less emotional.

Her slowed down rendition of Cher's Believe leaves the crowd in raptures and former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger in tears.

The X Factor bootcamp continues on UTV at 8.10pm on Saturday & at 7.30pm on Sunday.
