Emmerdale's Declan and Katie and Chas and Dan prepare to get hitched. (© ITV)
With a week of drama in the Dales planned, will anyone actually manage to tie the knot though?
Two couples - Chas and Dan, Katie and Declan - are certainly going to give it a go.
But unfortunately for them, there's always someone in Soapland determined to throw a spanner in the works. Or go into labour.
There's going to be a couple of twists and turns the fans aren't going to expect!
Lucy Pargeter (Chas)
"There's going to be fireworks, there's going to be a lot of mess and a lot of debauchery ... can't wait," Gaynor Faye, who plays Declan's troublesome sister Megan, revealed. "And I'm causing it all!"
Well, not quite all. The going into labour is down to both Debbie and Gennie, but Megan does still manage to cause quite the stir herself.
She finds out about Katie and Declan plotting behind her back and, despite having happily spent weeks plotting behind their backs, is duly appalled.
There are certainly plenty of secrets just ripe to come spilling out, with Debbie still in the dark about what's been going on between Chas and Cameron - and Carl hovering like a vulture, ready to let the truth slip.
"The fans are going to see everyone pushed to their complete limits. Fingers crossed they love the storylines, 'cause we do," Lucy Pargeter, who plays Chas, said.
Not content with pairs of both weddings and births, Emmerdale are also set to lose a familiar face with a shock death.
Ex-vicar Ashley might secretly be glad he's had a change of careers or he'd be kept pretty busy ...
Emmerdale's 40th anniversary episodes begin on UTV on Monday 15 October.
