UTV archive leaves Eamonn blushing

Northern Ireland's Eamonn Holmes was left a little red-faced on Friday's This Morning, after being shown a clip from the UTV archive during the show.

Eamonn and wife Ruth Langsford were presenting their usual Friday morning slot and chatting to comedian and actor Omid Djalili about his World Cup anthem England's Going Out (To Do It Again). But unknown to the host, This Morning had conspired with UTV to show a clip of a young, fresh-faced Eamonn recording a World Cup song with the Northern Ireland team of 1986.The reporter tells him: "Eamonn, I didn't think you could sing, now I know it." to which he replies: "Well, I don't really like to boast about my talents, but I think the public will judge for themselves."As a gleeful Ruth looked on, Eamonn was a little red-faced at the blast from the past, but seemed happy enough with his singing efforts. But maybe he would have preferred it if the clip had remained in the UTV vault...Thank you @itv_thismorning ! Good to see @EamonnHolmesback in '86 singing his wee heart out #WorldCup2014— UTV Archive (@UTVArchive) June 13, 2014
