He dodged oversized white lingerie from enthusiastic fans as he delivered Kiss as a grand finale at Custom House Square.
Delilah, The Green, Green Grass of Home, It's Not Unusual and Leave Your Hat On were among other hits.
The 72-year-old recovered from a chest infection and bronchitis which forced him to pull out of concerts for the Olympics in London and on the Isle of Wight last month.
On Friday night, Sir Tom told concertgoers: "We have had a ball up here and hope you have too."
The Welshman topped a bill that included Brian Kennedy.
On Saturday night James Morrison will take to the Belsonic stage before David Guetta headlines a sold-out concert on Sunday as the 10-day festival draws to a close.
Other performers included Emeli Sande, Madness and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.
