Dornan, who stars as Christian Grey in the film adaptation of E.L. James' erotic bestseller, is pictured from behind looking out over the Seattle skyline with the words: "Mr Grey will see you now".

It's the first promotional poster for the hotly anticipated movie which is planned for release on Valentine's Day 2015.

Filming is currently taking place in Vancouver.

Meanwhile Jamie Dornan is due back in Belfast next month to film the second series of popular crime thriller The Fall.

It was due to begin in the city at the start of January, but work commitments of the leading actors meant shooting had to be pushed back until the end of February.

Dornan had a busy year in 2013 as the 31-year-old got married to his partner Amelia Warner in April and welcomed a baby girl into the world at the end of November. The baby's name has not been released.
