James Arthur gives "the performance of the series". (© Rex Features)
James took to the stage with his guitar and a lot of female dancers for Club Classics week, after ending up receiving medical attention last week.
And following his routine, Take That frontman Gary Barlow told him he was simply: "Amazing! Amazing! Amazing!"
District3 were also flying high - literally - as they back-flipped their way back into the judges' good books, after ending up in the bottom two last time round.
They mashed-up Madcon's Beggin' with Chris Brown's Turn Up The Music.
Another act to opt for a mash-up was Rylan Clark, going for a J-Lo/Rihanna/Groove Armada effort that caused a bit of a ding-dong between his nemesis Gary and his mentor Nicole.
"Two words: O-ver," Gary declared.
"Two words: Puh-lease," Nicole shot back.
Rylan, who had even found time to apologise mid-song for the antics that saw him and Lucy Spraggan thrown out of the contestants' hotel, took it all on the chin though.
Jahmene Douglas also made the headlines this week, with details of his difficult childhood being revealed in the tabloids.
The shy 21-year-old belted out Aretha Franklin's Say A Little Prayer, but then struggled to contain his tears as praise flooded in from the judges.
Louis Walsh billed him as the "little man with the big soul voice", while Tulisa told Jahmene he was "absolutely adorable".
Find out who leaves the competition in Sunday's X Factor results show on UTV at 8pm.

So much for the dance moves ...
Gary thinks the dance moves looked like something Steps might have done years ago ... Oh, Gary - you're not going to make us find that video of you again, are you?? Nicole thinks she's the only qualified one to comment on the dancing and the former Pussycat Doll is full of praise for Ella. So there, Gary! :p

Here's Ella!
She hasn't come as an Adele tribute act this week - she's doing You Got The Love by either Candi Stanton or Florence & The Machine, depending on your age! And she's got dance moves - although they don't seem to involve moving her feet ... After Brian talking about killing it in the VT, we were expecting a bit more on the dance front, to be honest. But she is the baby of the competition and we're still impressed! (Download the track here)

As long as you're behaving, young lady!

More confidence needed ...
Tulisa says girls will only like District3 if they show more confidence on stage. Yeah, that's what those shrieking folk in the audience are looking for. Confidence. Nicole and her babyoil is probably closer to the truth ... Louis keeps repeating their names. We think he just wants to prove that he can tell them apart ...

It's District3!
Also doing the matchy-matchy boyband thing as they mash-up Madcon's Beggin' and Chris Brown's Turn Up The Music. They wanted to show their fun side this week, so ... backflip it is then! (Download the track here)

Epic ...
Nicole's turn to trot out the comparisons - she thought she was watching Chris Martin. As did Tulisa. Someone tell them it's not a Coldplay gig. "Welcome back to the competition," says Gary.

New Kye Sones ...
It's all new Kye after last week apparently ... He looks pretty similar to us. He's also sitting at a piano on a big pile of scrap you'd think they could have cleared off the stage ... He's tackling Save The World by Swedish House Mafia. But is it an improvement on last week's 32 flat notes? (Gary counted - we're not that obsessed!) (Download the track here)
