Starring Jennifer and actress Joanna Lumley the sit-com was a huge success in the 90s and fans were delighted when it returned in 2011 for a special three episode run to mark the show's 20th anniversary.
Chatting to This Morning's Phillip and Holly, Jennifer was asked if there is to be a movie of the series.
"There isn't, but there might be," she replied.
"I'm very close to picking up a pen, that's how close it is.
"But I'll wait until after Christmas, because there is so much to do before then. I don't want to do it before Christmas... that would be silly."
Jennifer has released her autobiography Bonkers and admitted the most difficult aspect of writing the memoir was actually remembering her past experiences.
She said: "Whole years have gone by and I don't remember anything and people say "do you remember that thing you did" and I can't.
"I put a call out - if you've seen me doing anything please let me know," she joked.
"And I had someone interview me for two weeks solidly every day for me to try and work things into a story and try and remember more and work it into a chronological order."
