Ronan said it was great to be at home with his family and still be able to perform.

"I can't wait, some friends of mine have played the venue before, told me great things about it so I can't wait," the singer said.

He said he was still comfortable with his "boy band" image as well as being an established solo singer.

Boyzone was a hugely successful pop band, they achieved 19 singles in the UK top 40 charts and 21 in the Irish charts, racking up 15 number one singles across the UK and Ireland.

Formed in 1993 by Louis Walsh, the band split in 2000, but made a comeback in 2007. Band member Stephen Gately died in 2009 of natural causes.

Ronan said that there were plans for the band's upcoming anniversary.

"It's 20 years of Boyzone next year so we're planning an album and a tour next year," he told UTV.

Ronan also said that he was moving on from a troubled period following the split from his wife Yvonne.

"I'm doing well. It's been a really strange couple of years, finding my feet again. Fourteen years in a relationship is a long time, but I'm good," he said.

"We're both happy and we're both in good places. We're just finding our feet and moving on."
The 'Life is a Rollercoaster' singer says he has no plans to stop making music.

"You can be lucky enough to do this for a long time if you're clever, so I'm 20 years at it now, if I can do it for another 20 I will be really happy.

"I think longevity in this industry is the toughest thing to achieve."
