Piglet uses wheelchair to walk

A baby pig born without the use of his hind legs has shown his determination by getting around his home with the help of a wheelchair.

Cute piglet Chris P. Bacon has a congenital defect that means he has to rely on his front legs to get around.

But the 2lb animal has had some help in the form of a wheelchair made from K'Nex - a construction toy more often used to build fairground rides or cranes.

A video of a 10-day old Chris P. oinking around his Florida home has been a hit on the internet, garnering almost 25,000 views in less than a week.

His owner, Youtube user and veterinarian Len Lucero, who is seen feeding the piglet with a bottle, described Chris P as a healthy, happy handicapped pet.

And as Chris P. gets bigger and outgrows his K'Nex chair, Dr Lucero had some good news for the little pig's fans.

"Special thanks to Walkin' Wheels for handicapped pets for donating a cool wheel chair. Chris weighs 2 lbs so he is too small now but should grow into it before long. For now we'll have to stick with the K'Nex chair," he wrote.

But for now, Chris P. can be seen eating solid food for the first time and playing with his bottle, as well as 'dancing' in his wheelchair to some disco music.
