The gold medal winner will appear in the village this week, as Yorkshire gets ready for the Grand Depart of the Tour de France 2014."Filming was really good fun," said Pendleton, in behind-the-scenes footage."It's quite a relaxed atmosphere and all the actors are super friendly, so it felt quite relaxed and quite easy going."I was a little bit nervous before filming my scenes, because I've never done anything like that before and I didn't want to mess my lines up and hold everyone back."But my lines were very short, fortunately, so I didn't have to remember too much."Pendleton visits the Dales as the celebrity opener of the newly restored Home Farm, and no one is more excited about her presence than Jimmy King."There is a really fun scene outside Home Farm with Jimmy and Nicola. Jimmy is resplendent in his cycle gear and not necessarily got a lot of bike handling skills, but it was good fun."And the cycling champion admitted she was very excited to have the Tour de France in the UK."I think it's a great opportunity for people in the UK to see (it) and I know they will be very well supported, because there is a lot of cycling going on up here."I've really enjoyed filming with Emmerdale - it's the first time I've ever done anything like this and everyone has been so helpful and friendly, it's been great."I brought my mum along and we both really enjoyed it."
