Ever taken the dog for a long walk up a hill and then wished you didn't have to walk all the way back down? For one paraglider from Craigavon in just such a fix, there was an obvious solution ...

Tandem paraglider flights in the Mourne Mountains have been done before, but enthusiast Tony Conway is sure none of them have ever had a dog on board - until now.

He recently took his ten-year-old collie cross Harry along as a passenger and confirmed the pooch "didn't mutter a word" during the flight from Slieve Donard.

"My wife and I designed and created a harness so that I could take Harry for long hill walks and then fly down," Tony told UTV.

"I've been flying for nine years and I'm sure this is the first time this type of flight has been done from Slieve Donard."

The view - and Harry's high-flying exploits - were captured by a camera fixed to his owner's helmet. It's a dog's life ...
