The Irish actress, who picked up the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for her turn in 1989's My Left Foot, has enjoyed a varied career in TV and films, including Home Alone 2: Lost in New York and Albert Nobbs.
But despite her acting success, Fricker admits she is now penniless.
During an interview for TV show Living The Life, she says: "I lived off my savings while they lasted, now I'm completely broke. But as long as I have a roof over my head and feed the dog and feed myself, I'm perfectly content."
