She took to her Twitter page on Thursday and said: "You should know by now I had no part in any of this split business. I couldn't stop them. I had the best time & want to keep going. Xxxx."
The five-piece, also including Cheryl Cole, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh, announced their decision to call it quits after 10 years together hours after wrapping up their Ten: The Hits Tour in Liverpool on Wednesday.
The band, which formed in 2002 on reality TV show Popstars: The Rivals, went their separate ways in 2009 so the singers could work on individual projects but reformed last year to embark on their reunion tour, which commenced last month.
A statement posted on the band's official Twitter page reads: "Dear Alouders, we just want to say from the bottom of our hearts thank you!! This tour has been an amazing experience and the perfect chance to say thank you for being on this journey with us through a decade.
"It has far exceeded any of our dreams and we hope we are forever your inspiration and reminder that dreams really do glitter!! Your love and support will stay with us forever but we have now come to the end of our incredible time together. Love you lots."
Kimberly also wrote about the split on her Twitter page on Thursday.
She said: "To our Alouders, Just wanna say please don't be sad today we have had some amazing years together and we should be celebrating the incredible memories.
"I will always be there for you all and I know you will for me. This is just the beginning of a new journey and it's gonna be fun. Love you all for your unconditional support."
