In a surprise result, the three-piece were pitted against competition favourite Hannah Barrett in the sing-off after they lost the flash vote during Saturday's main live show.
For their 'save me song' Miss Dynamix performed a rendition of Swedish House Mafia's 'Don't You Worry Child' and Judge Nicole Scherzinger told them it was "the best she had ever heard them sing".
But despite praising the group for their "fighting spirit", Nicole chose to safe her own act Hannah, who fought back tears as she performed Emelie Sande's 'Read All About It'.
The Judges all expressed their shock that Hannah was placed in the bottom two as she has been a strong contender for the X Factor crown throughout the competition.
Gary Barlow chose to safe his own act from elimination, but told Hannah: "You being in the bottom two is the biggest shock of the competition so far."
He said it was obvious that the only reason she was in that position was because viewers probably felt she was safe because she was such a good performer and didn't need the votes.
Sharon Osbourne praised both acts for their performances but said contestants should not only be singing so well when they were "on the line" in the bottom two.
"You should be singing like this every week," she told them.
With Sharon choosing to save Hannah, Miss Dynamix lost their place in the competition.
Speaking to host Dermot O'Leary after the result, band member Jeanette said: "We left the show showing people that we can actually sing.
"We are friends and we are definitely going to stick together.
Groups mentor Gary encouraged the girls to stick together as they had "something special".
The third live results show opened with a group performance of Bruno Mars' 'Locked Out Of Heaven'.
Meanwhile popular boyband The Wanted flew from America on a specially hired £250,000 private jet so they could perform their new single 'Show Me Love'.
Pop superstar Lady Gaga also took to the X Factor stage to perform her new single 'Do What You Want'.
The X Factor returns to UTV for a Disco themed show on Saturday and Sunday from 8pm.
