The Yorkshire-based band will headline a gig at the Falls Park on Saturday 9 August as part of the popular west Belfast festival.

Festival Director, Kevin Gamble, said: "Féile an Phobail is delighted to announce the Kaiser Chiefs will be headlining our August Féile. Following our most successful Festival to date with Féile25 last year, this is another massive step for Féile in bringing world class artists and entertainment to Belfast, and importantly into the heart of the local community.

"Once again the Falls Park and Féile will be the place to be to enjoy the biggest party in town. What a festival this year is lining up to be!"

Féile an Phobail was established in 1988 as a direct response to the conflict in Northern Ireland to celebrate the positive side of the west Belfast community.

Further announcements regarding this year's programme of events are expected in the coming months.

Tickets for the Kaiser Chiefs will be available from Ticketmaster on Thursday 27 March at 9am.
