The mezzo-soprano recently ditched her blonde bombshell image in favour of a more natural look, and she has now issued an appeal to rising female singers urging them to think carefully about how they choose to portray themselves.
Jenkins insists many young women adopt a sexy image and pose for provocative photoshoots, only to regret the decision later on.
Speaking at a press conference in London, she said: "I've been on photoshoots where they've been, "Okay, let's try something different for this shoot".
"Sometimes it's fun to experiment but sometimes it's really not what you are. And I think you've got to know, in that scenario, to say, "Actually I'm game for this, but this is too far". It's about knowing the boundaries.
"These images are going to be around for a very long time. You can't pretend you're something that you're not."
