Spiralling out of control and turning to alcohol to forget her marital problems, Kylie has been a regular fixture in the Rovers in recent days.
But when barmaid Tina McIntyre calls her a bad mother, Kylie decides the perfect way to prove her wrong is to turn up at son Max's Nativity play, despite being a little worse for wear.
Speaking on set at the Nativity, actress Paula Lane - who plays Kylie - said: "She has had a bit to drink and Tina has told her that she is a bad mum so Kylie think "I'll show you just what I'm made of" and she goes to the Nativity, not in the best of states and causes a bit of havoc.
"All the Platts are there, as well as Tina and Peter, and Kylie is not happy with David at all and is very hostile still and she doesn't want him in her life, or so she thinks."
It is not long after arriving at the play that Kylie is already causing trouble, much to the embarrassment of the Platt family.
Actor Jack P. Shepherd said: "There is never a dull moment with the Platts and especially not at the kid's Nativity where it shall be ruined.
"She's drunk as a skunk and all hell breaks loose."
"This year Kylie is gonna get on stage and that's gonna be quite shocking," added Paula.
"At this year's Nativity there are gonna be tonnes of fireworks. It's gonna be fierce, a little bit sad with a few home truths - it's gonna be a good one."
