The original book, which details a racy relationship, has sold 40 million copies and became the fastest selling paperback of all time.

But single mum-of-one Leesa Harker said it all started as a joke, when she wrote one chapter of a Belfast version of the erotic novel and posted it on Facebook.

"The character Maggie Muff she was going back down to the bru for her back-to-work interview and it all just took off from there. People kept sharing it with their friends and within a few days there were 15,000 people following the story," she told UTV.

Leesa's story follows Maggie's encounters with Mr Red White and Blue and is written entirely in Belfast colloquialisms.

Well sure his name was Mr Red, so I said I’d call him Mr Red White and Blue, in tribute to le Queen’s Jubilee an all, God save hor. So he said okay til lat. Nie he’s nat from le Road or nathin. Said he was from up le country, somewhere called Lurgan, but had a flat down le town like.

Fifty Shades of Red, White and Blue

Fifty Shades of Red White and Blue has been published by Belfast's Blackstaff Press and will be launched next week.

It has already received rave reviews on the internet, and a Facebook page dedicated to the book has more than 27,500 fans.

"The next book is called Dirty Dancing in the Shebeen, now there is a family in it, Sinead's family and they are from the Road," explained Leesa.

Good on you Leesa! Thomas (bit of help with your spelling there for you)Now for some help with your geography - Leesa may live on the ISLAND of Ireland, however she lives in the UK as there is no country called Ireland! Billy - no colour mix up from Leesa. Bit of geography mix up with you also - Bellaghy is in South Londonderry. I'm sure there are some local basic english and geography night classes close to you, excellent way to make up for wasted school years!
