Disco Week may be an upbeat, glitter-packed explosion of fun for some of the hopefuls, but others could be set to struggle to make the style work for them.
For one of the favourites, prison officer Sam Bailey, Saturday will be her chance to depart from the big emotional ballads as she tackles Donna Summer's No More Tears (Enough Is Enough).
And Abi Alton, whose quirky style has already seen her end up in tears as she failed to impress the judges last week, is certainly sending out a message as she opts for Gloria Gaynor hit I Will Survive.
With Kingsland Road blaming it on the boogie and Tamera Foster wishing on a star, all nine hopefuls are pulling out all the stops for the weekend's performances.
Last time round, Miss Dynamix lost out in the sing-off against Hannah Barrett.
While the girlband had been up against it after missing a week due to pregnant singer SeSe's collapse, Hannah ending up in the bottom two was a real shock.
She returns in fighting form with her take on Jocelyn Brown's track Somebody Else's Guy.
Catch the X Factor on UTV at 8pm on Saturday and Sunday to find out who survives.
