Samia and her partner Sylvain Longchambon danced to the Spice Girls hit 'Wannabe' on the school disco themed show on Sunday night.
They finished their routine with the dangerous stunt after the actress recovered from a previous rib injury.
A worried-looking Samia was pictured wearing with a helmet during rehearsals earlier this week.
The decision to go ahead with the risky move during the live performance was only made hours before the programme by mentors Torvill and Dean and the show's coaches.
The 30-year-old actress, who wore a sexy leopard-print number, was praised for her daring routine, scoring 23.5.
Karen Barber said: "You are becoming the dark horse of this competition."
I wanted for that to be the performance of the night and it was.
"There is great chemistry between you," Jason told Samia and Sylvain who are a couple on and off the ice.
"You are bringing it onto the ice now which is good. I need a little bit more sass from you though," Jason told Samia.
Ashley Roberts said: "I thought you had some of the cheekiness, but honey you look much more confident out there. I think you did great."
Head Judge Robin Cousins added: "We told you to relax and perform, it was fantastic tonight. Normally when someone does the headbanger the rest of the routine suffers but you did exactly what you had to leading up to that."
Samia later tweeted: "So glad that's done!! I'm still alive so if you want to see me and @slongchambon skate again please vote".
EastEnders actor Matt Lapinskas topped the leaderboard after performing to 5ive's Slam Dunk Da Funk, while TV presenter Anthea Turner was booted off the show.
