The number of Brit awards Robbie Williams won with Take That. He’s won more than anyone else, with another 12 as a solo artist.
The highest number of nominations in any one year – Robbie achieved it in 1999 and Craig David matched it in 2001.
Adele was interrupted by host James Corden as she picked up the Best Album prize, over fears the live show would overrun its allocated television time slot.
"How can you take an artist who has made the biggest cultural impact musically this country has seen globally for some time and cut her off in the middle of her speech?" Brits chairman David Joseph told the Guardian.
"I very much, to this day, question what was happening in that control booth. I can hint something is going to happen this year to rewrite that wrong."
Corden, who was on the receiving end of a one-fingered gesture from Adele over the faux-pas, is hosting the Brit Awards again.
He has admitted that he's not sure if there are contingency plans to prevent a similar scenario unfolding during Wednesday night's proceedings.
Adele is expected to walk away with this year's new award recognising global success, but is up against One Direction and Mumford & Sons.
Her Bond theme Skyfall is also up for Best Single.
The late Amy Winehouse is in line for a posthumous award, having been shortlisted for Best British female against acts including Emeli Sandé.
Veteran rockers the Rolling Stones have received their first nomination in 17 years, for Best Live Act. It's also the first time since 1977 that they've been nominated for anything other than Best Video.
Robbie Williams, Justin Timberlake and One Direction are set to perform during the show.
The Brit Awards will be screened live on UTV at 8pm.
