Bono, Sinead O'Connor and Glen Hansard stunned shoppers in Dublin on Monday by hitting the busy streets on Christmas Eve as buskers.

Bono and O'Connor busk in Dublin

U2 frontman Bono organises the annual celebrity sing-along on the city's Grafton Street and this year he really brought the festive cheer in a bid to raise cash for homeless charities.

Among the songs the stars performed were an acoustic rendition of U2's Desire and a beautiful rendition of O'Connor's Nothing Compares 2 U, as well as festive favourites Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) and Silent Night.

Joining the superstar trio for the Christmas Eve busk were singer/songwriter Damien Rice and Hothouse Flowers frontman Liam Ó Maonlaí.
